Baqueano Culture

What are baqueanos?

Baqueanos are the heart of our business. These brave and rugged outdoorsmen and their horses have dedicated themselves to exploring and taking care of Patagonia. If anyone knows Torres del Paine National Park best, it is our baqueanos.

Holistic Grazing System

Maintaining a balance between nature and a herd of almost 200 horses may seem like a difficult task, but thanks to a carefully organized plan, our horses pasture in Patagonia in alternating pastures, keeping erosion at bay and allowing grass to grow during each grazing period.

Equine Dentistry

The horses of the reserve have been trained to live in harmony alongside the hotel's workers. We give them all the care they need for their lifestyle. Because they have a different diet, their teeth are worn down differently, so they need to be constantly taken care of so that their teeth grow and become worn down without causing damage to their mouths.

Equine Podiatry

Just as humans require different footwear to do their jobs, horses also need different treatments for their hooves. As they are tame horses, their hooves do not wear out as quickly, so our farrier at the stables makes sure that their hooves are clean, free of fungus, and that they have the right shoes for their lifestyle.
