When is the best time of year to visit the park?
Torres del Paine National Park is open all year round. However, in winter it is mandatory to be accompanied by a certified guide.
The best time to visit the Park depends on personal preferences, as every season has its own charm. For most, the best time to visit is between September and April, which is spring and summer in the Southern Hemisphere. This time of year brings more sunny days, less rain, and more than 16 hours of natural light. Hotel Las Torres is only open between October and April and is closed in winter.
In March and April, autumn in the Southern Hemisphere, the park is bursting with beautiful red and orange fall foliage that delights photographers.
During the high season (November to March) the temperature is more pleasant, but there are also more visitors. During the low season (April and October) it is very cold, but the winds are milder, the colors of the landscapes are different, and there are fewer people.
